Dubai’s core sectors work in symbiosis, each enhancing the performance of the other. ICD’s portfolio companies in the real estate and construction sector have been catalysts for the growth of the tourism, leisure and business tourism industries. Building a sophisticated infrastructure and iconic attractions has allowed Dubai to become a leading tourist destination and a global player in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions) industry, which in turn has meant critical international exposure and sales for the real estate sector.

The portfolio comprises two of the most-visited sites in the world: Emaar’s Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. It also includes the city’s first major landmark, the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). DWTC is the master engine of business tourism in Dubai, with over 3 million visitors per year.

The portfolio also consists of Dubai Airport Free Zone, one of the fastest growing in the region, and Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, an integrated technology park and a pioneer in creating an enabling environment for tech entrepreneurs in the region.
